Maybe ...but then maybe not. If you had tried learning basic strategy and card counting on your own I know you'll agree that it takes a lot of work to learn and practice - first you have to memorize all the different charts for the different configurations of the games (like if the game uses a single deck or multiple decks, if it's played in Las Vegas, Reno or Atlantic City or anywhere else, if your allowed to re-split or double-down after a split etc). In the next hand, I had received a total of 11 against the dealer's 10. Basic strategy calls that I double-down which I did. I got dealt a 7 for a total of 18 on which I stood. The dealer showed a 5 for his hole card and busted with a  8 for a total of 23.
